The VinCI project is a 3-year European project under the Interreg Sudoe programme. This project is based on the observation that the wine-growing regions of South-Western Europe are currently suffering from a drop in yields and a deterioration in international competitiveness, which are self-sustaining and threaten an economic sector that is crucial for this area. The objective of VInCI is to design tools that enable producers to have an anticipated vision of supply and demand, in order to manage their prices, stocks and export quantities by destination more effectively. These tools will couple a yield forecasting model with a forecasting model of the market potential of importing countries outside Europe, and will be based on connectivity technologies developed by different companies and universities along the entire value chain.
